“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.” –Nelson Mandela
Educating through outreach, community collaboration, public campaigns, and advocacy, Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates works to change the conversation about immigration, diversity and culture, and law and policy reform.
From these tenants, Lighthouse founded the Immigrant Allies, a community-focused group created to provide individuals with outlets for action, advocacy, and dialogue. The Immigrant Allies are a part of a larger organization, the Allies, under the direction of the Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance. To learn more, visit LEDA’s website.

Eager to educate and engage the community, LIA welcomes opportunities to present at churches, colleges, schools, and community centers and participate in local and regional events. Lighthouse’s community outreach and education efforts would not be possible, so Lighthouse extends its gratitude to its sponsors.
